The ​Christmas period and catch ups can be a very triggering time for us. 

​​I know for many women, if they have put on weight in the last 12 months, they can start comparing themselves to this time last year, and feel like a failure.  

 

Even if you haven’t put on weight, you can still be sitting with feelings of disappointment and feel embarrassed about your weight.

When this happens, we tell ourselves that we aren’t good enough, and all sorts of negative stories that we’re fat and ugly and we feel embarrassed.  

​​This makes us want to hide away and avoid, instead of going out and being social at this time of year.
