Episode 11: Who's Body Is It?
I’ve worked with many clients who are not in their own body.
What I mean by that is that they received messages both implicitly and explicitly about their body when they were growing up, and it became a self fulfilling prophecy (aka being overweight).
In the most part, there are 2 way that we let our mother’s relationship with food and weight influence our weight:
- Enmeshment
- Rebellion
I want you to consider how this might be relevant to you..and if you have daughters how this is also relevant to you too. Most parents say to me I want to be a positive role model for my daughter…and this is the place to start.
