The Break Up Session · A Food Noise & Snacking Deep Dive For GLP-1 & Bariatric Surgery

If food were a man,

your friends would have staged an intervention by now.

You've tried dumping him. You've blocked his number. You've sworn ‘never again.’ Then 9pm rolls around and there he is. Let's find out why you keep letting him back in, and give you the tools to end it for good.

Medication can change your appetite.

But changing your appetite is like getting a new haircut after a breakup. Looks great, feels great... and you still text him at 9pm.

The Break Up Session goes deeper, with internal tools you keep for life. All for less than a month of most weight loss medications.

Sound familiar?

Whether you're on a GLP-1, you've had bariatric surgery or you've tried every diet out there, you might still find yourself:

And you're left wondering...

"Why am I still doing this?"

Here's what I want you to understand

It's not a lack of willpower.

There may be something happening beneath the surface that's driving your eating. And that's exactly what we're going to explore.

Yes! I want to go deeper →

Changing your body doesn't automatically change your psychology.

GLP-1 medications, bariatric surgery and structured eating plans can be life-changing. They can change your appetite, help you lose weight and create space from food noise.

But they don't automatically change the psychological patterns your brain has learned over time.

Your physical hunger might have changed. But some of your old eating patterns may still be running in the background. And unless we explore what's driving those patterns, we can spend years trying to manage the eating without understanding what's underneath it.

The thoughts that tell you, "I've had a hard day. I deserve something."
The uncomfortable feelings that send you towards food.
The automatic snacking when you're stressed, tired or finally sitting down to relax.
The beliefs that keep you caught in all-or-nothing eating.
The good news?

These learned patterns can change.

And you don't need another set of food rules to start.

Introducing

The Break Up Session.

A personalised 1:1 Food Noise & Snacking Deep Dive to uncover what's happening beneath the surface and start changing it.

This isn't another session where you simply talk about your struggles with food and walk away with more awareness. We're going deeper. Together, we'll identify the hidden thoughts, feelings, beliefs and automatic responses that may be keeping you stuck. And importantly, you'll receive personalised tools to help you start changing them.

1.

Your private 30-minute online session

We'll explore your specific eating patterns and identify the hidden blocks that may be sabotaging your success.

Whether it's emotional eating, food noise, night-time snacking, grazing, reward eating, all-or-nothing thinking or fear of weight regain, we'll start connecting the dots. So you can better understand what's really driving your eating.

2.

Your personalised Eating Patterns Plan

After our session, I'll email you a personalised plan outlining:

  • The key patterns and triggers we've identified
  • The thoughts, feelings and beliefs that may be maintaining them
  • Where to focus your attention to start creating change

You'll walk away with greater clarity and a personalised starting point.

3.

Your personalised Break Up Script

This is where we move beyond awareness. Using my powerful Brain Rewiring Tool, I'll create a personalised script for your exact breakup situation that can rewire your brain to break the toxic habit and feel free.

I'll teach this tool to you too. You can keep your script for life and use it anytime you need to.

Because understanding why you eat is one thing. Actually changing those automatic patterns is where the deeper work begins.

7 days with my Brain Rewiring Tool

From intense cravings 8.7/10 to no cravings 1.3/10 in one week.

I asked six women to use my Brain Rewiring Tool for 7 days and rate how strong their cravings were, out of 10, before and after. On average, their cravings dropped from 8.7 to 1.3. Here's what they told me.

BeforeAfter 7 days1 = no craving · 10 = intense craving

In their own words

What women are saying about my tools.

“I’m feeling surprised that the effects kicked in so quickly and totally bemused that I haven’t eaten (or wanted to eat) cake for a week. This is unheard of! I’m not restricting my diet in any way, it’s just happening naturally. Usually at supper I’d have a huge bowl of cereal or tea with 3/4 biscuits. I haven’t deliberately avoided it, it just hasn’t crossed my mind to eat at times I usually would.”
Gaynor
“I stopped being consumed by thoughts of food. I recognised I had an unhealthy attachment to food. I’m in control and it feels way better than being controlled by food. It’s magical and I’m magical!”
Kirsten
“In shock that it has actually had an impact in such a short amount of time!”
Jade
“I am amazed that these changes can start happening so quickly. The biggest shift for me has been going from binge eating through fear of missing out, to realising that if I really want more there is plenty available, just go buy more. Since that realisation, I haven’t binged at all!”
Melanie
“Food is not in control of me and it’s not the answer to everything. I can handle things that come at me without food.”
Aymie
“Definitely the fact that I no longer have food or treats on my mind all the time. Even when I’m hungry, I can wait for food without it taking over my thoughts. Awesome feeling. Thank you so much.”
Sarah
“Understanding the negative self disgust, self loathing feelings which have been causing my weight gains, and that they were the reason why I have struggled for years, has been the biggest revelation. Awesome that the changes kicked in so quickly. To anyone who is struggling, this is life changing, embrace it wholeheartedly.”
Lesley
“The biggest moment was saying the words ‘food doesn’t control me’. I am amazed how different my thinking has become around food. Thank you so much xxx”
Claire
“I’m feeling optimistic, confident. I’m acknowledging how far I’d already come before this week and marvelling at the progress and insights I’ve gained in the last week. I’m treating myself with love and with respect.”
Jill
“Hearing my subconscious answer negative statements with a positive response made me soooo happy!”

Why work with me?

There's very little I haven't heard, seen or helped with.

I'm Georgie Beames, a registered psychologist and coach. For over 15 years, I've worked exclusively in the area of eating, weight and the psychology behind our relationship with food. And I've helped over 3,000 women along the way.

One of my superpowers is identifying the hidden patterns underneath someone's eating. Often things they haven't been able to recognise or connect themselves. So whether you're secretly eating, grazing throughout the day, struggling with food noise or worried about regaining weight, you don't need to feel embarrassed or judged.

I use practical psychological tools to help women work with their automatic eating responses, emotional triggers and deeply learned beliefs. Because awareness is important. But awareness alone isn't always enough. I want you to have tools you can actually use.

Imagine feeling more free around food.

  • Finish a stressful day without automatically reaching for food
  • Work from home without constantly feeling pulled towards the kitchen
  • Sit down at night and relax without needing a snack
  • Recognise your emotional triggers and respond differently
  • Feel more confident in your ability to navigate food noise and cravings
  • Trust yourself more, rather than constantly questioning your willpower

This isn't about never having another craving or eating perfectly. It's about creating more space between the urge and the behaviour.

More awareness. More choices. More confidence in how you respond. More freedom around food.

“I made it through grocery shopping without buying any ‘junk’.”

Questions? Asked and answered.

Do I need to be coming off my GLP-1 to do this?

No. In fact, you can start while you're still taking your GLP-1. The aim is to build your internal tools and confidence before you might lower your dose or transition off.

Do I need to be planning to stop my GLP-1?

Not at all. This isn't about telling you whether you should stay on, reduce or stop your medication. That's a decision to make with your prescriber. It's about helping you feel more confident and prepared around food, whatever you decide.

Will this help if I still have food noise while taking a GLP-1?

That's one of the reasons it's designed this way. You may have less hunger but still experience food thoughts, cravings or reactive snacking. The session gives you psychological and nervous-system tools to work with these experiences.

Is this medical advice or does it tell me how to reduce my dose?

No. There is no dosing, prescribing or medical advice in the session. Any decision about changing or stopping your medication should be made with your prescribing healthcare professional.

What if I haven't reached my goal weight yet?

That's completely fine. You don't need to wait until you reach your goal weight. Starting these skills earlier can give you more time to practise them while you still have the support of your medication.

What if I'm happy staying on my GLP-1?

You can still do the session. The goal isn't necessarily to come off your medication. It's to help you develop more confidence, flexibility and internal tools around food alongside whatever medical treatment you choose.

How long do I keep my Break Up Script?

For life. Your personalised script is yours to keep, so you can come back to it anytime you need to.

Is this therapy?

No. This is a self-development tool created by a registered psychologist and coach. It's coaching and is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment.

Is this suitable if I have an eating disorder?

This session is not designed to treat eating disorders. If you have an eating disorder or are receiving treatment for one, please speak with your treating healthcare professional about whether this type of support is appropriate for you.
